(by Jeff)
Clara has started eating "real" food. Well, rice cereal anyway. She really likes it, but (as with most kids) she is a messy eater. We bought a new camera today, and we decided to give it a test run by taking pictures of Clara while she was eating.
Also, Aunt Wendy and Uncle Chase stopped by tonight to visit Clara.

Four month update
(By Aubree)
Clara had her 4 month check up yesterday. She is still growing like a weed!
Height: 26 inches
Weight: 15.2 lbs.
BMI: 15.8
Clara is learning so much each day. She will just start doing something one day, and I think "Where did you learn that?". Like any other baby her age she is grabbing anything and everything that is close to her. She gets a grip on my hair and it's really hard to get her to let go. She also likes to grab the hair on guys' arms. She recently started to play with toys. We would put a toy in her hand and she would hold onto it because of her reflex to grab things, but she didn't understand how to play with them. Then one day she just out of the blue would grab the toy if it is laying next to her and she would shake it and play with it. Something funny that she recently started to do is babble with her tongue hanging out. It's really cute!
Clara got sick AGAIN this month. This is the 3rd respiratory sickness in her short 4 months of life. This kind of threw her sleep schedule off just a little bit, but she is now sleeping pretty much about 8 or 9 hours a night, and then will usually go right back to sleep for a couple more hours after she has eaten and had a diaper change. She still isn't a very good napper, but we are dealing with it. She's doing a little better than she was. Thanks for all of your advice, I used a lot of it.
I think about before we had Clara, and I just have a hard time imagining our life without her. Jeff and I were lucky to have so much time to get to know each other and to build our relationship, and I am very thankful for that time we had, but I felt like something was missing. I'm so grateful for my little family. This is what I am meant to do right now, and I love it so much. It's so fulfilling, and I am so glad that Heavenly Father trusts me with this sweet little spirit to teach and love her for the rest of her life.
Enjoy some recent pictures:
Clara decided she wanted to try the binki out. She tried it a couple of times before naps and then she quit. At least she's somewhat open minded! I just think babies with binkis are so cute.
This picture really shows how long she is! She mostly has a long torso and is going to have the same problem as I had finding shirts that are long enough. Poor girl.
This is my new favorite picture. Our camera is so slow, and I was so excited when I caught her right in the middle of her pretty smile.
Kelly, I don't know if you regularly read my blog, but this picture is for you because she's on the blanket you gave her, and she's wearing the dress you gave her!

Clara loves this blanket. It is silky on one side, and furry on the other. She will pull it right up against her face, and I think that it comforts her.

Tulip Festival
(by Jeff)
On Friday, we went to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. Aubree and I went to the Festival last year, but it was too early in the season and only about 10% of the tulips had bloomed. So this year, we went later in the season so we could see all of the tulips.
As you might suspect, we took a ton of pictures. We tried to narrow down our favorites, but there are still a lot of pictures. So, enjoy!
