-Probably my favorite thing that she's doing right now is she will give me a kiss when I ask for it. I'll say "Can I have a kiss?!" and she'll open her mouth as wide as it'll go and presses her lips against my cheek. Then I say "Oh thank you!" and she laughs. It so precious.
-She hasn't really mastered the rolling over thing because she has always loved to sit up so much, but yesterday I laid her on her back to change her diaper on the floor and I was watching her as I washed my hands and she rolled from her back to her belly and then sat up! I was pretty impressed.
-Ashlyn is trying soooo hard to crawl. She will go from sitting position to hands and knees and then she'll push with her hands so she goes backwards. Then comes the cries of frustration because she's moving backwards instead of forward.
-She can feed herself snacks now, which is so helpful! I've been trying for weeks to get her to feed herself, then on Sunday during church, Jeff teaches her how to do it in like 10 minutes. He did the same thing with Clara when she was that age. I don't know how he does it.
-Something that's kind of freaky is that I see myself a lot in her. At first I only saw Jeff, but lately I see little glimpses as if I'm looking at a baby picture of myself. The funny thing is that as a toddler I hear all the time that Clara looks like me, but I just don't see it.
-Another funny fact is that she has three teeth. Two on the bottom, which she got at 5 and 1/2 months, and one on top, but it's not one of the front ones, it the one right next to those! I thought that was so weird.
-She also "sings" when she wakes up, which is nice because Clara did the complete opposite the second she woke up when she was Ashlyn's age.
Why, oh why do I have such a hard time choosing pictures? Probably because she's so cute!
